◆ Product description
Two-component (A + B), aliphatic polyurethane topcoat for VIRANIX 1K stone carpet. It provides UV protection, color retention, water resistance as well as mechanical and chemical resistance. The water-based stone carpet binder is not UV-resistant on its own – outdoors, PRIMECOAT 2K protects the color.
◆ Required on every 1K stone carpet
- Vehicle traffic: medium-grain stone carpet laid 6–8 mm thick, sealed with PRIMECOAT 2K PRO instead of PRIMECOAT 2K.
- Permanent water exposure: showers, standing water.
- Outdoor surfaces: UV protection and color retention.

Step 1
10 kg pack: combine approx. 9.53 kg of component A with 0.47 kg of component B and mix thoroughly at low speed for 2-3 minutes (20:1 ratio). 1 kg pack: combine approx. 953 g of component A with 47 g of component B and mix thoroughly at low speed for 2-3 minutes (20:1 ratio).
Step 2
Add the precisely weighed component B (hardener) to the measured component A according to the 20:1 mixing ratio: for the 10 kg PRIMECOAT 2K pack, use approx. 9.53 kg A + 0.47 kg B; for the 1 kg pack, approx. 953 g A + 47 g B. Homogenize the two components with a low-speed mixer or a drill with a mixing paddle for 2-3 minutes, thoroughly mixing in the bottom and sides of the bucket, until you get a uniform, lump-free material. Use the mixed PRIMECOAT 2K topcoat within its pot life (approx. 30-40 minutes), because the two-component polyurethane material starts to cure once mixed.
Step 3

Use the mixed PRIMECOAT 2K topcoat within its pot life (approx. 30-40 minutes), because the two-component polyurethane material starts to cure once mixed.
Step 4
Apply the mixed VIRANIX PRIMECOAT 2K topcoat with a short-pile roller only. It is particularly important not to pour the material directly onto the surface: dip the roller into it and apply it to the stone carpet in portions. Roll the same area evenly with cross strokes, at least 4 passes, so that the material reaches everywhere, deep into the pores. The topcoat must be applied in 2 coats to achieve full, even coverage and the required mechanical and chemical resistance.
