Adheres even to damp concrete
VAPOGRIP EP 2K is a water-based epoxy primer. It provides reliable adhesion where conventional solvent-based primers fail: on damp and fresh concrete.
Felhasználás
Where can you use it?
It adheres strongly to concrete, iron, galvanized steel, aluminum, glass and wood. Water-based and VOC-free, so it can safely be used indoors.
-
Under floor and coating systems
As a primer for epoxy, polyurethane and cement-based systems.
-
Damp or fresh concrete
Where there is no time to wait for the concrete to dry.
-
Negative-side moisture
Primer for substrates exposed to negative-side water pressure and moisture.
-
Enclosed spaces
Schools, hospitals, tunnels, residential buildings.
-
Concrete sealing, dust binding
As a concrete sealer and dust-binding layer.
-
Bonding bridge
Between old and new concrete.

Application step by step
The primer only adheres well to a sound, clean surface free of dust and oil, so substrate preparation is the most important step.
-
Prepare the substrate
Remove weak, loose areas by milling, sandblasting or grinding, and roughen surfaces that are too smooth or glossy. Remove oil contamination and vacuum up the dust.
-
Mix the two components
Mix components A and B in a 75 : 25 weight ratio until homogeneous.
-
Allow induction time
After mixing, let it stand for 20 minutes. If necessary, it can be thinned with 10–30% water.
Tipp Add no more than 30% water.
-
Apply evenly
Apply evenly by roller, brush or rubber squeegee at 150–200 g/m² to the clean concrete, metal or wood surface.
Figyelem Use the mixed material within 3 hours (20 °C). Do not use material in any way once its pot life has expired.
-
Apply the coating on top
The next layer can be applied after 24 hours (20 °C). Touch-dry in 18–20 hours; full cure takes 7 days.
Tipp Tools can be cleaned with water after application.
