VIRANIX SmartWall is a premium-quality, self-adhesive decorative film system.

Installing VIRANIX SMARTWALL PVC wallpaper

Clean the wall
A perfect result starts with a clean wall. Before applying the VIRANIX SMARTWALL self-adhesive wallpaper, thoroughly remove dust and grease from the surface. The adhesive layer only adheres properly on a completely dry and smooth wall – this helps it stay beautiful for years.

Measure and cut accurately
Accurate measuring is the key to flawless application. Measure the height of the wall and allow an extra 5–10 cm at the top and bottom. Cut the first strip of wallpaper to size with a sharp utility knife and a straightedge. Tip: with patterned wallpaper, make sure the pattern matches (pattern repeat) when cutting the following strips!

Start peeling the backing film
Time to apply! Starting at the top corner of the strip, carefully peel back the protective film on the back by about 10–20 cm. Fold the film back to expose the adhesive surface. Tip: never remove the entire film at once, as the wallpaper can easily stick to itself or get damaged! Work in sections.
4.
Apply and smooth out bubbles
Fix the exposed top part of the VIRANIX wallpaper to the wall. While slowly pulling the backing film further down with one hand (like the lower hand in the picture), use a plastic smoothing tool (spatula) in the other hand to continuously smooth the wallpaper onto the wall.

Durability depends on installation and use: apply it to a smooth, dry, dust-free and stable base and follow the installation guide. The product is covered by the statutory warranty for defects.
3. Which surfaces can I apply it to?
To a smooth, dry, dust-free and stable base: painted walls, plasterboard, tiles, furniture panels. Good adhesion depends 80% on preparation.
4. Is it suitable for wet rooms?
Yes, the surface is water- and moisture-resistant. However, for shower walls exposed to direct water spray, a wall guard or glass panel is recommended. Ventilation is essential.
5. Can it be bent around curved surfaces?
Yes. That is the advantage of the roll system: corners, columns and curves can be covered neatly by gently softening the material with heat and smoothing it on with a smoothing tool.
6. How thick is it?
It depends on the type, usually 2–4 mm. Thicker versions feel more comfortable and hide minor surface defects better.
7. What should I cut and smooth it with?
A sharp utility knife, a straightedge and a rubber smoothing tool. Measure twice, cut once – clean, burr-free edges create the premium effect.
8. How long does installation take?
An average section of wall takes a few hours. No tile dust, no grouting – quick, clean work.
9. How do I clean it?
With a damp microfiber cloth and a mild cleaning agent. Do not use strong solvents or abrasive pads, to keep the decorative surface looking good.
10. Can it be used on furniture fronts?
Yes. Smooth laminate/MDF fronts can be refreshed quickly with it – precise cutting and folding over the edges give a premium finish.
